Dr. James W. Choi, Clinical, Nuclear, and Interventional Cardiologist 

Dr. Choi is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. He also holds certifications from the Board of Nuclear Cardiology and National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Choi has special interest in cardiovascular disease in diabetic patients and coronary artery stenting. He has published numerous related articles and conducted clinical research on coronary stent implantation, various stent deployment mechanics, and biomedical research. Dr. Choi offices at CCT's Dallas clinic at the Baylor University Medical Center, and also at our Waxahachie clinic. 

Dr. Choi received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago where he also completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. He was appointed Associate Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine and he was appointed Director, Interventional Cardiology Fellowship, Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

He is a Fellow of American College of Cardiology and The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions as well as a member of American College of Physicians, American Heart Association, Korean-American Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Society, and Texas Medical Association.

Dr. Choi has an Academic Appointment as an Associate Professor, Department of Internal Medicine,Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. He also has a Hospital Appointment serving as the Director: Interventional Cardiology Fellowship, Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Choi was recently named by Patients’ Choice Award 2012 as “Best of the Best” this year. Dr. Choi has received this distinction for five years in a row.
