Dr. John R. Schumacher, Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist
Dr. Schumacher is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is an original founder of Cardiology Consultants of Texas. He is currently serving as co-chief of Cardiology at Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital, and the co-medical director for Hunt Heart Center at Baylor University Medical Center. He is a past director of the cardiac catheterization lab at Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital. In addition, he is an elected board member of the Baylor Heart and Vascular hospital. He has participated in numerous studies published in leading cardiology journals. He has been named a “Texas Super Doctor” by Texas Monthly magazine.
Dr. Schumacher offices at CCT's Dallas clinic at the Baylor University Medical Center, and also at our Waxahachie clinic.
He received his medical degree from the University of Indiana. He served his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center where he went on to complete a fellowship in Cardiology.
Dr. Schumacher is recognized as a Fellow of American College of Cardiology and The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is an active member of Dallas County Medical Society, and Texas Medical Association.
